Okay so the interior isn't much to look at and the dance theatre is already moving so I'm not going to be too upset about this. Hopefully we can see some better renders soon but the massing looks nice.
Judging by the renders and the last photos they've now completed the podium walls and are starting on the first floor of the tower. Things may speed up a bit in the coming weeks.
Do you think any of the architects of these projects visit urbantoronto? I really like to think the person or persons behind this design read the comments here and are ashamed of this terrible design. Most of the buildings that get approved in Toronto look like crap it seems and the materials...
Can't we just kick Concord out of Toronto? They built OK stuff back in their hometown of Vancouver then came here and crapped all over our skyline. If this goes ahead as planned it will ruin all of the shots of One Bloor and the One.
I'm hoping this doesn't catch the One in construction. The One deservers to be Canada's new tallest and first supertall, even if it's just for one day.
Perhaps we will all be pleasantly surprised with this one. Fingers crossed, it's scary to think Aura might have a competitor for a cheapened out tall tower.
It says right in the report massing exercise. Clearly these are not anywhere near the final design, just a massing of the heights and tower widths. This in no way means they will be boxes. They are just showing the envelope in which each tower will sit with a maximum width and height for each...
I don't see the updated design as watered down at all. If anything since they've had more time and have made revisions they probably just hammered out some details that were missed in the original render. Like how the diamond sections are connected and how the meet the ground. The original...
I 've been around here for a long time, since Pantages was the most exciting project in the city. As for Yorkville Proposals, the high-end ones seem to change the most from the first renders to the final designs. We all knew that 19 Bloor would one day make way for a tower, I for one am excited...
I think too many of you are jumping the gun here in terms of the proposals design and massing. This design will not stay the same and it's more of a massing exercise for the site. How many times did The One, and One Bloor East change before something was actually built? If and when this becomes...
