On an overcast day, Montage (or is the tall one Neo?) looks sterile and cold. However, on a sunny day the tower looks sleek, refined and bright. This split-personality works for me. Of all the cityplace towers, this development has the most going for it in terms of character, ascetics and variety. It does not presume to be luxurious or presumptuous. Just the opposite, it nicely responds to the dull-drum of its surroundings but also raises the bar quite a bit. For me, this is hands-down the nicest cityplace tower and a very hansom addition to Toronto skyline. Had it been built in another new-condo neighbourhood, Bay St. corridor or lower Yonge St. it might stand-out more.

Montage only works from me viewed from the south. I think it fails looking down Spadina from the north, unless some sort of interesting 'art component' is installed on the massive, blank rear-wall of the mechanical penthouse.

Wasted retail opportunity or legitimate service for this intersection? RBC branch moves into Neo:

I actually really like these two. It seems that each successive phase of CityPlace buildings get much better than the last.

Great pictures, thanks for posting them.

Neo looks like a cheaper cousin of Hudson up the street in this picture to me.

Too bad the red bricks never materialized on Montage as they appeared in the renderings. The red looks really sharp and provides decent contrast on Neo, even if it is fake, pre-cast brick or whatever actual material it is.

Montage in the Inside

PDI at Montage revealed a great, fun lobby, friendly neighbours and courteous security. The unit itself had a good layout, very good finishes, interior design that maximized the space and nice appliances. Overall I like this one.
