Fixing the Rundown TTC

It's too bad that the TTC isn't installing platform doors as part of the modernization.

It's not that simple. You can't put platform doors on until you've got automatic train control (ATC) or else you have to add time at each station to carefully line up the train in exactly the right place. The first piece of ATC is from Union to Eglinton - and then to follow is the rest of the YUS line; it will probably be well into the next decade before they turn to the Bloor-Danforth line. However the bulk of modernization is on the Bloor-Danforth line.

There are other projects looking at platform doors.

It is comfortable at a well designed station, like Scarborough Town Center to wait indoors for the bus you need.

It won't be comfortable enough for me until some sort of heating is installed in the indoor portions. In winter it is just as cold standing outside on the bus platform as it is inside.

STC is hardly well-designed...one reason is that some of the routes require waiting at bus bays outdoors. Or, you can wait indoors and have no hope for a seat or even a good place to stand.
