I cycled past here today (without camera unfortunately) and about 1/3rd of the north half of the building is down. It's very encouraging to see Burano moving forward. Hopefully there will be no water problems on this side of the street!

A working day and a half following the last shot. Quite impressive what one excavator and a guy with a hose can do when they set their mind to it.

But... but... they didn't even delicately preserve the bricks from the facade :S... or take those nice old lamps off of it first.

WTF? I am confused. I hope they aren't just building a "replica" of this building using new bricks at the base of Burano... :eek:
 
Wow. I suddenly feel really really unobservant. Sorry hahaha. But thanks for answering me :)

I was walking by today and stopped to watch. It's amazing, and heartbreaking at the same time, to watch this baby go.
