I've always loved that little old building to the right of Mike's first pic. I wish they would clean it up and use it as a base of a tower or something.

The forms were raised this morning - 51st Floor!!

It'll be interesting to see how much further up the core goes, I would imagine they'll probably do at least 2 more form raisings. Then a few more months to top out the steel. This building is really flying up. They are well on track for the planned July 2009 completion.

At this stage in the game, one wonders why they didn't go for another 10 floors here?! With binoculars, I could "spy" three little men scurrying about the top of the core today--"hosing" concrete to cap off the day?

Looks like it will be about 10 feet shorter than the tallest Mies tower....progress?

Maybe add 10-20 floors to phase 2 which i believe will be a 46 story aprox.200 meter office tower.

Then how do you explain the height approval of the Trump Tower just across the street.

It probably will cast shadows on NPS, but not much. Trump gets a lot more slender than BA as it gets higher, resulting in smaller shadows that move a lot quicker.

Is Trump's roof height even very much higher than BA? I thought a lot of it's official "height" comes from the antenna.
