I know there was some columnist out there in recent months (John Barber?) who raised the parallel between David Miller overtaking Barbara Hall and Barack Obama overtaking Hillary Clinton--and now that I think of it, Obama and McCain seem to be striking a civil mutual-respect chemistry akin to that between David Miller and John Tory back in '03...

Hard to tell--and it wasn't like the actuality of Tory vs Miller didn't have its dirt, either.

More like, both of them in common cause to mark some "fresh start" distance from their immediate predecessor, whether Lastman or Dubyah...
