Barges along the Basin de la Villette. These barges house small theatre companies and comedy clubs.


This is a cement plant and proves that industrial uses and public space can co-exist.


Innovative cladding on a new condo building on the Boulevard de Grenelle.


Paris' parks and open spaces are phenomenal. This is the Champs de Mars looking towars the Eiffel Tower.


The Luxembourg Gardens.
















The embankement along the Seine attracts people by the tens of thousands.



Tango on the Left Bank along the Seine.


The Quai d'Asterlitz is being regenerated with a lot of new uses such as this wooden pavilion that houses a bar/restaurant
now famous Piscine Josephine Baker, Paris' riverside swimming pool.






The Bibliotechque Nationale




The wooden stairs and plaza are a great public space. I am really getting to love wood as a material
for the public realm.

I don't know what this is but I really love it!






Though I didn't spend a lot of time in The Louvre, a few things did catch my eye.


The new Islamic Art Gallery at the Louvre.








Palais Royale. The grilles cover channels with running water in them that allow the calming sound
to be heard in the courtyard above.






While the Theatre de Comedie Francaises is under renovation, performances are being held
in a temporary wooden theatre stradling the courtyard and the gardens of the Palais Royale.




Fountain on the Boulevard St. Germain near the Odeon.





The Musee de l'Architecture et la Patromonie is in the western section of the Tracadaro.






There is a life size mockup of one of Le Corbusier's apartments. I actually got some
design ideas for my little apartment which has a similar layout.
