.... and if any of you who have visited the CBC Museum in the past are wondering why it has become a bit rough around the edges, perhaps a bit dusty, some displays no longer work, and is no longer updated in any way, it is because CBC laid off the people who built and maintained the museum a couple of years ago.
There are a lot more artificacts sitting in a back room that should be displayed but one heckuva lot more artificacts that have been disposed of or just happened to disappear.

Some of my handiwork there! My father and then myself where the maintenance managers there for some time. The metal stairs next to the phone booth are from the Rolling Stones, Steel Wheels tour set. http://andrewfare.com/UTB/mytoronto13/rosedalestn.jpg
Andriod: Rosedale Station - built for the original Yonge Street Line in the early 50s - has always had sort of a plain look to me...remember the architecture of the TTC
Subway was 1950s utilitarian...but as recent pictures show has not aged that well...
I found it interesting that some of that line's ROW was covered over time by "air rights" development but this station has remained the same...
I also remember the manicured almost parklike land along those sections also...even in the 80s they looked to be maintained...
I wonder if development was ever planned for the Rosedale Station's vicinity...

Android: This is interesting noting the contrast between the green and white GO bilevel cars and the yellow taxis...
I want to ask if this is something new in Toronto or are these being used for something like a movie shoot? The medallion numbers are not the correct NYC format which is
1A23...is 123A a new Toronto taxi medallion type?
If they are a new type color I feel that enough time has passed since the Metro Police had yellow police cars there probably would not be any confusion between the two...

The front desk and communication call box unit all came from the Old No 7 station at Ossington and Bloor (building still there) Stories abound of Sgt William "Wild Bill" Kelso who commanded the front desk. Street cars heading south on Ossington would slow down in case a typewriter flew through the front window thrown by Sgt Kelso. Sometimes called a "sadist in uniform" (by lawyer J.J. Robinette) the burley Kelso once stopped a runaway horse on College St with his bare hands.

A few days ago Jackie Evancho was performing at YD Square to promote the new season of America's Got Talent. I was photographing her before she went on stage and was struck by the many personas I saw in such a short time. She seemed very at ease and it didn't look like an upcoming performance before thousands of people had any effect on her. It must be very tricky being a child star and even more so for the parents who have to let her enjoy her childhood while promoting her talents, without exploiting her. At 11 years old she's already had a very interesting life and who knows what the future holds. She could fade away in a few years or be a lifelong star like Streisand. Below are a few pics showing her different sides.
Minutes before her concert, playing like a typical 11 year old.
