The Ken and Marilyn Thomson Patient Care Centre at the Michael Garron Hospital will feature 218 medical and surgical beds, more accessible outpatient programs, modern infrastructure that will accommodate new technology and improved infection control through an increased number of single rooms, and units that can be converted to isolate patients in case of an outbreak. The redesign will also include a more accessible patient drop off entrance, large lawn areas, a roof garden for patients, visitors and staff.

Michael Garron Hospital is the main campus for the Toronto East Health Network.
