Walker Glass Company Ltd.

Walker Glass Company Ltd.

Walker Glass is the North American market leader in the manufacture and marketing of acid-etched glass substrates and premium quality mirror products. In additional to a multitude of full surface etched finishes and opacities, the broad range of Walker Textures® brand interior and exterior glazing substrates includes three Aviprotek® lines of bird-friendly gazing solutions, the Traction collection of anti-slip glass flooring surfaces and the Nuance and Transition families of decorative stock patterns and custom etched glass.

With the city of Toronto bird friendly glazing regulation, there is a growing need for viable architectural options. Over the years, Walker has developed four distinctive surface 1 solutions under the AviProtek® brand name.

AviProtek® is a Surface 1 acid-etched visual marker solution. This glass option can be used for guardrails as well as insulated glass units, and can be combined with the low-e coated glass of your choice on surface 3. For optimal solar performance, AviProtek® E is the bird friendly glass solution that combines the acid-etched visual markers on the outside surface of the glass with the Vitro Solarban® high performance coatings on Surface 2. And, AviProtek® T is the highly transparent bird friendly glass solution using Pilkington pyrolytic coated glass on Surface 1.

All Walker Textures® and AviProtek® products have been tested, proven and are supported by a full 10-year warranty. In addition, Walker is committed to sustainable design and is the first one to published third-party-verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and Health Product Declaration® (HPD®).
