Our name, EVOQ, shows our conviction that architecture should be an expression of meaning. As contextual architects, we are always looking at the broader picture; drawing from the history, culture and location of each project to inform our design process. Our purpose is to create a link between past, present and future with creativity and nuance.
The firm, formerly known as FGMDA, was first established in 1996, following the merger of two offices founded in 1983. In 2016, we incorporated and became EVOQ Architecture. The firm is led by its 7 directors: Alain Fournier, Julia Gersovitz O.C., Rosanne Moss, Georges Drolet, Giovanni Diodati, Dima Cook and Éric Moutquin. They are assisted by 11 associates and a team of over 100 professionals serving our clients from our Montreal headquarters and our Toronto and Ottawa offices. EVOQ also maintains a permanent presence in the Canadian Arctic through our Iqaluit-based affiliate, Panaq Design.
